Why do people support and lean towards corrupt politicians, liars and even criminals, all are “wolves in sheep’s clothing”?
I do not have a unique and totally correct answer as to why a large part of the voting people continue to support Chavismo via Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela, also Castroism via Díaz-Canel of Cuba, communism via Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua, among others. This leads me to the following question:
Why do a large part of the voting people continue to support the “woke” Marxist socialism of the socialist Democratic Party via Kamala Harris and Joe Biden?
I have read and I am going to quote some accurate opinions of the lawyer and former presidential candidate of Chile, Mr. Ricardo Israel published on the site “infobae” last year 2023.

On the other hand, citing some writings and opinions, the question is: how does corruption impact the decision of voters? Does it influence or not when it comes to casting the vote? Precisely, Professor Sandra Botero, from the Faculty of International, Political and Urban Studies of the Universidad del Rosario, took on the task of studying the behavior of voters in Latin America, in light of two countries: Colombia and Argentina. Together with Laura Gamboa, researcher at the University of Utah (United States); Rodrigo Castro, from CIDE (Mexico); Nara Pavao, from the Federal University of Pernambuco (Brazil), and David Nickerson, from Temple University, (USA), she analyzed different perspectives of this problem.
Democracy has also had a very notable characteristic, its permanence over time, since what was achieved by the Greeks in the classical period of Athens has remained essentially until today, in addition, both international law and political science collect definitions that generally express the same thing.
There have been and there are governments and regimes that seek to destroy it, but that nevertheless add a surname to enjoy their prestige, as occurred with those that were called “popular” in the 20th century or those that are called “21st century socialism”, as occurs with the Castro-Chavistas of our continent. The only thing that is certain is that when they add a surname they are very far from being considered democracies, since these generally do not need to be adjectives to be such.
The most fearful paradox today for me as an American citizen, are the similarities of the 2024 presidential candidate, and current vice president of the United States, Mrs. Kamala Harris, expressed in her ideas of future policies of her future government if she wins the elections against the candidate former president Donald J. Trump.
Many of the doctrines that have sought to replace it have a strong collectivist bias, however, the novelty of the 21st century is a challenge from an unexpected place, since a threat to the republic and democracy and some of its most beloved institutions has emerged from within capitalism.
It is not about traditional enemies such as military dictatorships, communism or fascism, but rather a new variety that originated in developed countries, such as here in the United States of America, and has internationalized towards less prosperous and stable societies, presenting itself in some places as a postmodern derivation of capitalism, it is called “woke” capitalism.
It begins in universities, within progressivism, and with social networks it has acquired a very strong deployment in many parts of the world. The name “woke” comes from the English language and alludes to awakening, the need to “be awake” and “enlighten” others, through activism.
Among the objectives was to understand a paradox: what motivations lead voters to lean towards corrupt politicians, democrats, socialists and communists and how the environment influences the electoral decisions of the citizen. What convinced these voters to repeatedly lean towards these corrupt socialist communist politicians? What blinded these voters to lean towards voting and continuing with the same evils?
One of the first studies was carried out in Colombia, with the purpose of analyzing the role of information sources in the voter’s decision, particularly, the credibility and impact they had on the recipient when denouncing corruption by a certain political leader, and if they could be determining in the definition of the vote.
The research was carried out exploring the effects that three different sources could have on the average citizen: a newspaper, an NGO and a court. Through surveys, the citizen was asked if he/she would vote for a certain candidate, accused of corrupt practices, varying the source of information in each case. The survey was conducted with 801 people in four major cities in the country: Bogotá, with 313 respondents; Medellín, with 196; Cali, with 194; and Barranquilla, with 98 people surveyed.
“Some studies indicated that people voted for corrupt politicians because they did not know they were corrupt, but other research indicated that they did so even if one gave them information that they were corrupt.
So, the work they did for Colombia tried to solve that concern. Starting from the hypothesis that, perhaps, people do not trust the information and, therefore, they decided to find out if the originator of the information affects the vote for corrupt politicians,” said Professor Laura Gamboa.
Citizens of the Andrés Eloy Blanco municipality of Lara state, in Venezuela, mobilized in support of President Nicolás Maduro and to corroborate his rejection of the coercive measures imposed by the United States Government.
Another prototype of “blind” voters is this example in Venezuela.
“With loyalty, changing everything that needs to be changed and making a new revolution, with the people everything and without the people, nothing. These people on the right come out with a clean face to say that they want the vote for the traitors, but today not a vote for them, not a vote for the traitors to the country,” declared Nicolás Maduro.
He also said “here we are, the loyal ones, the common people, and now we are all going to build a new 1×10 and I want you to add two things: One, that each one, in that system, has a new voter; and second, that you add a neighbor who has voted against us, because everything that comes is better, it is time for improvement.”

I would add that it subjugates, powerfully and even violently dominates the voting people of the United States to possibly fall into the abyss of the new Marxist communist WOKE ‘democratic’ socialism in this 2024 elections of the United States of America.
